Great if you don't mind travel and telecons...

Pros

Decent benefits, great people at the local office. Responsive, forward-looking management. Training and employee support is encouraged.

Cons

Multinational aspects make coordinating a major challenge. Expect to have teleconferences early in the AM with Germany, and late in the evening with asian countries. Depending on position, a lot of travel may be required. Bureaucratic friction with the larger organization (especially IT) is also a common nuisance.

Pros

It would be hard to beat the location. Very laid back environment. Easy to get overtime. If you'd actually like to make an impact on the company, you could use this place as a stepping stone to Germany where their products are developed.

Cons

They had too many interns for the amount of work that had to get done. Some of the interns cleaned floors. Others sorted paperwork. The work was boring. They don't help you much with getting a place to live. The products this plant produces are not cutting edge.
