I really do not have any positive experiences to speak of

Make sure if you become ill, injured or experience other medical situations requiring you to use the "internal process" for resolution you do your homework. The company HR staff are gatekeepers of this information and go out of their way to be vague and secretive. Expect in these situations to be closely monitored by management. You most certainly will be scrutinized with regard to performance. Management uses this tactic as a preemptive strike to better position themselves if they move to terminate your employment. The management culture is to cull the herd of the sick, injured and those with onset disabilities. The motto from management is that they can only use "able bodied" employees. Do not rely on Human Resources to provide accurate or complete details concerning the proper steps to take. You will only be directed to an online portal with vague and unreliable information.

Pros

Stable company. Has a canteen on site. There are rewards for good performance, and even if it has a large company culture, there are smaller groups that can feel more like a startup. Bosch has great values and tries to stand by them.

Cons

Sometimes too bureaucratic. Some areas are understaffed, and when management realizes this Bosch sometimes grow too fast. Technical career path can be unclear on how to advance.

The financial stability and overall size of the company are tremendous "pros" in the current corporate environment. Bosch is always looking for intelligent and pragmatic growth, as well.

Cons

Some of the softer touches popular in the market are severely lacking or entirely absent. For the world's largest auto supplier, there are minimal discounts and external benefits to take advantage of.
