Pros
I'd rate Bose 3.5 stars + Nice coworkers + Interesting products + Variety of tools and technologies + Competitive pay (for my location anyway) + Recently had a year in the black after several in the red
Cons
- Felt like mostly maintenance - Code is several places is in bad shape, causing features & fixes to happen at a slow pace. Well-known software design principles are violated in too many areas. - Some poor decisions regarding system build organization causing much pain and slowness (need for repeated builds) for many people - Contract engineers (i.e. overseas) are not interviewed by Bose, they're brought in whenever needed & skill levels can vary a lot - Several layoffs while I was there - never really felt secure in my job
