      Lost without Dr. Bose

      Pros

      Smart people, good place to be researcher or a senior engineer. Not so much other roles, but it still looks good on your resume in any event.

      Cons

      The company is struggling to find its direction in quickly changing markets, and the old-school mentality in legacy managers and old-timers (many of whom have never worked anywhere else) makes it worse. Very uncompetitive pay (and no equity), undesirable office locations, old/outdated office environments, rigid thinking, culture of arrogance. It is an engineering-led company still, and engineers tend to think they can do any job better than you; they thus under-appreciate and look down on non-engineering roles.

      Pros

      Respected brand, cool products. Coworkers are amazing and work hard. Good benefits and work/life balance. High job security, though that is starting to change.

      Cons

      Success at this company has more to do with your social game than anything else. Senior Management is very top heavy and resembles the Trump White House. Old, white, and male with a country club vibe. They waste most of their time in meetings while the underlings do the actual work. If half of the managers were fired at random it would be a net gain for the company. Competition has caught up in audio. The brand is beginning to lose its power and management has no idea how to deal with it. Now everyone including the janitor is expected to have a "vision". Being good at your job isn't enough anymore.

      Pros

      Still has some interesting products. Good employee discount. Good benefits and outstanding retirement package

      Cons

      With the departure of Dr. Bose came the entree of consultants and the company lost its soul. Teamwork, lifetime loyalty, creativity, and passion have gone by the wayside in favor of quick returns, one up manship, lack of diversity and leaders who really only care about their bonus. Very sad to see the core culture that made this company truly great vaporize.
