Pros

Great product discount (50%). Good free coffee in cafe. Not much else. Lila is trying but the entire exec management keeps changing every few months. 3 or 4 heads of sales in 3 years. same for head of HR.

Cons

This used to a great company. However hasn't made money in too many years. so it has been selling or shuttering businesses to raise money to pay for whats left and there's less and less of it each year. Shut down hearing aids. Just sold the professional installed business. Auto might be next. Two rounds of layoffs each year. Corporate functions like IT, finance, GBS etc in March and product related in October/November. The severance is pathetically low - 1 week per year worked. Also HR refuses to honor retention agreements at layoffs since you wont be there to collect retention. How stupid is that?

Pros

A few great products and for now the brand is carrying the business. Colleagues that do the work are great people and work hard.

Cons

Executive team is entirely new with less than 3 years of Bose history. (seems to be a Dell and McKinsey background) Sales leadership is not present and does not have institutional knowledge of brand Culture is dying - Private company feel is gone

Pros

Cool office space and Great brand.

Cons

Since day 1, I am observing the management only focuses on staying afloat and put the fires out, rather than focusing on big picture and long term thinking. Most top talents hired are left to struggle on their own with no career path. Managers are busy at their own deliveries. People-focused managers are fired, leaving resources lonely. If you like to work independently under constantly changing environment with no guidance whatsoever, this is the place to be. All the while, layoffs take place randomly once or twice a year, while CEO promises no more layoffs. With Job security a question, it is hard to focus on work at hand and everyone has to focus on their own job security.
