Pros

Lots of interesting people Product discountt

Cons

Very few women in management. Very few technical women. Lots of white and indian men. The same men keep making the same decisions expecting our fate to change. Over 50 lay off is sketchy.

Pros

Nice discounts, nice people, work from home option, cool products So much potential

Cons

Clueless management. Divided groups so people work in the same kind of work are sprinkled all over. Promotions don't go to those who are most skilled but to yes men. Work areas going downhill. Little respect for work space needs. Some work in like trough row- one long table where they can touch the person as they are so close and no room to sit with someone for training. Management has huge offices and spout off people want crowded open noisy work environments! And management has loud conversations in the halls! Really crap vacation! Not nearly enough!

Pros

Great products and lower level employees that are truly passionate about the company

Cons

Far too many VP's that are in current roles simply by cutting heads. VP's that bankrupted their previous employer, did nothing to deserve the current role they have and now are on their way to bankrupting Bose. And when the going gets tough - they cut heads (except for those that should have been cut, like their own. Far too much reliance now on outside consultants and zero vision or strategy especially from those in charge of that area. Dr Bose was the visionary who created this company and grew a thriving culture that is now starting to fail. He cared first about people and technology, and with that simple belief, the company flourished and grew. Now the focus is sales growth and profits with people being a commodity. And chasing other innovative companies instead of truly innovating and blazing their own trail.
