Pros

Great travel opportunities Great starting / base level salary Huge responsibility early on

Cons

Sometimes the travel opportunities can be a bit of a pain Lack of a bonus can be tough - especially if you are a top tier performer

Pros

Fantastic exposure to Fortune 500 firms and their management teams. Great sense of camaraderie amongst the associate class. Good learning experiences, when you have the chance to work on a variety of projects. Can get time 'on the beach' in between projects - essentially paid vacation, but you're still tied to the blackberry

Cons

Work life balance goes out the window, particularly in the Americas. Long hours are expected, but hopefully moderated by client need. Weekend work in the office is rare (twice in 2 years) but checking emails on Sunday night is expected. 55h a week as an 'average' is true, but counts any 0's for beach time - so variance around that can be quite high.
