Pros

Amazing health benefits that few will beat

Cons

They are doing mass layoffs but will blame it on your performance. They won’t give you a chance to learn and will still fire you. Why hire in the first place? If you’re hiring people with MBAs and experienced hires who have worked in consulting before or lateral hires and reviewing them against ones who just stepped into the business world, it is very unfair. And the quality of work is crap; they have the highest level of confidence, that’s it and will convince you of whatsoever. Snake oil salesmen. If I were a client I would NEVER hire BCG. Will be very happy to leave

Pros

Amazing benefits. Once you assimilate to the work load/culture of BCG it's a pretty nice gig.

Cons

If you don't feel in any way passionate about this, it's soul sucking Higher Up execs don't have consistent language. Hybrid Module was just changed on a whim and everyone is upset about it.

Pros

Beautiful office, smart people, generous perks

Cons

My manager was very condescending to me as a new comer, constantly micromanaging, as though I was incapable of doing anything that I actually got hired for. BCG supposedly promotes free, independent thinking, but, my manager made it arrogantly clear, I needed to get feedback on everything, no matter how simple the task. All or any positive feedback from my MDP's was met with heavy skepticism. When I was invited by one of my MDPs to travel with the case team for an offsite, my manager said "Why would BCG pay for that? We don't need you there..." Followed by, something to the effect of "you're new, why would you think you can go?" I felt like my manager would find a way to sabotage any opportunity for growth that was presented to me. I didn't feel comfortable succeeding, because my success wouldn't be mutually celebrated.
