Pros

Good stepping stone for a better job at another hospital or healthcare industry. Will be exposed to a lot of challenges.

Cons

Salary is not competitive compare to other hospitals. You should expect to work long hours. Also it's a union environment so it's very difficult to discipline your staff

Pros

Great experience working with brilliant and dedicated physicians and clinicians. Depending on the department you work and the team and supervisors you have, the sky is the limit to the amount of value you can bring to the organization and job satisfaction you may get. Good Luck.

Cons

Unfortunately a lot of their IT personnel can be quite rigid and not too open to doing things slightly differently to fit the operational and medical needs of the hospital.
