      Wonderful people and flexibility

      Pros

      I work with the most amazing team, all of whom care a great deal about helping the patients and each other as much as possible. I got pneumonia a couple months ago and still haven't fully recovered. My boss has been amazing letting me work some half days (half at the office, half remote) while I continue to recover.

      Cons

      People keep leaving and the workload for the people remaining grows exponentially each time another person leaves. I'm at capacity, but will soon be expected to take on a lot more when 2 people leave.

      Pros

      Interesting patient population. I enjoy job flexibility within my particular department and am not micro-managed, which I greatly appreciate. Nice colleagues and support staff.

      Cons

      BMC management doesn't care at all about providers or (unfortunately) about the patients. They are just interested in making money, whether that means giving us less time per patient, eliminating and consolidating positions, or adding more duties to overworked staff. Absolutely no recognition or incentives for hard work.

      Good place to get your foot through the door; lots of opportunities to learn and take an active role in the direction your career is headed

      Cons

      peanuts for pay, easily 15% under the market rate for similar roles at other institutions for qualified employees
