Pros

Needing surgery and having all healthcare costs and subsequent Physical Therapy covered was a major relief. It's a non-profit safety net hospital that cares for all the people sent away by other hospitals. With the healthcare situation in the US in 2024, working at BMC at least makes you feel like part of the solution rather than part of the problem.

Cons

As a non-profit, they may not be paying top dollar depending on your position. Making use of extensive and very competitive benefits is a must. That said, there are 10 unions operating within BMC and contracts with these are mutually arrived at by union and BMC representation so wages are kept in line with area norms.

Pros

great benefits, 401k match, 6 wks vacation, 1 week cme.

Cons

New management sucks, they don't care about APPs at all. No opportunity for growth or pay scale so be prepared to be underpaid.
