      Pros

      Small patches of the company had really great and innovative people.

      Cons

      Middle management structure was stifling to anything productive. Anyone with good work ethic and good ideas was immediately viewed as a threat and fed to the BSC political machine.

      Great Salary, Benefits and Bonus Program. Products provide benefits to society.

      Cons

      Yearly layoffs, plant shutdowns, restructuring. Stock struggling to meet expectations. So big lots of people 'hiding'. Limited growth opportunities - staffed to have more projects than are funded - perhaps layoffs have solved this by now.

      Pros

      Quality training and products. Boston has been a market leader in medical devices for a long time. They have a number of divisions, so the potential to remain with the organization for a lifetime is very realistic. They take care of their employees.

      Cons

      Like most companies, Boston was not without its challenges. The organization has worked tirelessly to overcome them however. Whether it be an FDA warning letter, or product issues, the company is relentless in correcting the situation and moving forward.
