Work life balance is better than average. Many employees work less than 40 hour weeks for full time pay. Nice facilities.
Cons
Company resources are used to tell employees who they should vote for in federal elections (for conservative candidates who oppose healthcare reform). Manufacturing ("Operations") mindset in executive management prevents empathy for customers and patients. Product quality problems go unresolved indefinitely in spite of massive "Quality" organizations. Quality System is an empty facade for many products - it serves only to pass FDA audits and produces very poor return on investment. Everyone is extremely title sensitive and tenure sensitive. New hires are not respected their first two years regardless of experience and competence.
