Pros

The benefits are good (paid time off is generous). Depending on the office, the work schedule is manageable and expectations are reasonable. There is opportunity to be part of changing culture if you embrace it and ability to maintain work/life balance.

Cons

slow moving. Unlike other universities, does not seem to be as much of an "academic culture" among administrative employees. The organization is not very nimble or fast moving, so it can be frustrating when trying to implement change.

Pros

BU has an amazing benefits package including 4 weeks paid vaca with a 5th for intersession along with almost every holiday paid. Tuition remission is a phenominal perk and has ad's up to $8K to your total benefits package. Sick days accrue very quickly at over 1.5 a month and the overal ambiance of the CRC campus is especially pleseant. Managment is usually very attentive and is willing to throw resources at a problem.

Cons

Instituional change comes slow and is very political.

Pros

Great place to start in higher ed administration. The tuition remission program is excellent. Health & dental are very strong compared to others.

Cons

Not a lot of satisfaction in the senior management. Depending on the department you work in, you can either have a lot of support or none at all.
