Pros

Former colleagues - they were my only saving grace of staying as long as I did.

Cons

-Pigeon-holed my career and offered no room for growth or development -Speaking of, they axed the ENTIRE Learning and Development team -Middle management not tech savvy at all; I don't think people getting paid pennies should have to teach entire systems over and over again to people who get paid 10x salary -Leaders butting their heads in places they shouldn't, making project management a headache every time since they don't understand simple processes -CEO is a brainwashed PE puppet

Pros

Reasonable salary and commission structure. Benefits Package- Affordable Health, Vision, Dental, 401k, PTO, Paid Sick Leave, Health Club Reimbursement, Paid Parental Leave, etc. Growth Opportunities Mentorship Hybrid Remote (Max 1 day in office if within 1 hr) No expectation to be available after business hours end.

Cons

Systems updates/changes, acquisitions, and reorganizations have been murky to work through.

Good people, low pay

Pros

Teams are generally friendly (I’ve been promoted through a couple of them), and willing to assist but…

Cons

The pay is low, like 40k below the same role (Project Manager) elsewhere. The benefits are expensive and don’t cover much. Training and onboarding are mostly a pile of old SOPs and you just need to figure out the rest. There are very few opportunities for real advancement, there just aren’t a lot of openings as you move past entry level. Many young less experienced people are slotted into roles they sometimes don’t have the professional acumen for, best guess is because more experienced professionals demand a higher salary. Leadership is tone deaf, for instance ALL the quarterly awards for exemplary performance all went to C level (Q1 2024 - CTO, CCO, CIO, CFO), like we’re really celebrating the CFO for their collaboration with other departments!? That’s their whole job.. come on.
