Pros

-Stable product with good potential value and diverse use cases -Highly cross-functional, you get the chance to learn the business and landscape very well -Unlimited PTO, meal credits (though at low value) when in office

Cons

-Identity crisis: Box is an old and stable product, and a quite viable MSFT/Google alternative when security needs are high, but leadership is pushing a narrative of a "new chapter" of Box as an AI company - aggressively pushing a start-up grindset and need to move at a "relentless pace" without the infrastructure or expertise to do so. -Culture and WLB decline: The ratings here show a clear picture. For years, Box had a sterling culture and kept up a 4.5 rating overall. A wave of tone-deaf changes have precipitated this nosedive in satisfaction. Leadership has fully ignored employee feedback on in-office mandates, unsustainable workloads, lack of clarity from leaders, unrealistic product deadlines tied to a need to feel relevant in the AI era. None of this has been addressed, and leadership continues to act as if there isn't an obvious dissatisfaction. -Compensation slipping behind: Box is lagging behind the industry and competitors in pay, merit increases, bonuses, and core benefits - the company still doesn't offer a 401k match. SPIFFs and incentives used to be a regular part of each quarter, they're now few and far between
