Pros

Box is an incredibly great place to work - there are challenges, like every company, but everyone is in it together. The executives are incredibly approachable and willing to help - this is rare at any size company, let alone a close to 3,000 person publicly traded company. Box is one of the few places you see where it is normal for people to have 5-10 year anniversaries - there is a reason for this. The product roadmap is amazing and the product/engineering team are top notch. Box's future is even brighter than its past - we're going after multiple billion market opportunities and, at > $1 billion ARR, we have barely scratched the surface. The benefits are also fantastic - it is easy to stay at Box for a very long time - the grass is green here.

Cons

We compete everyday with two of the largest software companies in the world who give away a good enough product for free. This makes prospecting difficult but makes cycles easier when you can build enough value because once Google or Microsoft start losing, they can't lower their price any further. With product acquisitions (e.g. e-sign, no code metadata-based app builder, etc.) and new product launches (e.g. Box AI, Hubs, etc) we are creating enough differentiation that we can clearly show value over the EFSS products. Our biggest challenge is around branding - we have really good brand awareness for what we were 5-10 years ago, but not where we are going - this is both a challenge and a benefit - if you can get a meeting with a CIO, their typical response is "I never knew you could do that", which leads to larger opportunities - it is just more challenging than it should be to get there.

Pros

- if you get a good territory, money can be good - they pay for lunch at the office - lots of happy hours

Cons

- lots of micromanagement - if you get a bad territory, you make no money - mandatory days in office
