Pros

There are opportunities to advance within the company, especially in newer markets. Stable employment and solid retirement/benefits packages.

Cons

Upper management tended to offer limited guidance or hands-on support, often leaving mid-level managers to navigate complex challenges on their own. Long hours were expected, and dealing with difficult resident interactions—sometimes bordering on abusive —was unfortunately normalized. There was also an intense focus on perfectionism, which, while intended to drive high standards, often undermined a supportive and safe work environment. If you have a strong personal support system and the ability to compartmentalize a high-stress, gossip-driven culture, you might find a way to succeed here—but it’s not sustainable for everyone.

Bozzuto truly invests in its people. The culture is warm, collaborative, and professional, and leadership encourages both personal and career growth. Every day feels purposeful — I get to learn, connect, and make an impact while being part of a team that genuinely cares about residents and each other.

Cons

As with any fast-paced industry, there’s a learning curve when you start. Some training processes could be more structured, but the team is always willing to help and share knowledge along the way.
