It’s definitely not your typical office job. Getting to walk around and tour, while getting to talk and meet new people, is great.

Cons

During slow season, when there aren’t many tours, money also slows down

Great place to work, great benefits and feeling of belonging and being apart of something important.

Cons

Not a lot of time to spend with family. My kids are in school so my weekdays off I don’t see them. On the weekdays I do work I see them for a little in the morning and a little before they get to bed. Then the weekends come and I don’t see them all day. I even lost precious bonding time with my newborn due to this. If I could have at least have more weekends off when they are off I can see them more than just mornings and evening where everyone is getting ready to go out the door. Also the 10-6 shift hurts with after school activities and events. It’s painful to sit in the office the last hour where there is hardly anything going on when I can close at 5 and still make it in time for dinner or events at my kids school. Keep in my I also commute to work about 30 min. I didn’t even cover the toll and stress this has put on my hisband who also commutes to work (8-4) to rush home and pick everyone up before aftercare and day care closes. I’m sure this is not everyone situation but I know I’m not the only one.
