Pros

Pay and PTO but bonuses are always iffy. Salary was great. 401k match not so great at only 1.5%

Cons

Management doesn't care if you are isolated and does not do much to foster team culture. Awkward and lonely place to work that will drive you mad. Any opportunities I had to learn new skills I had to push for and did not feel supported much in learning. They do not set-up employees for learning or success. Management would rush me when I spoke, making me feel like I was in the way and my work was useless and pointless.

Pros

Good place to learn new things. Can get quick traction to try new things if no opposition from VPs. Most of the company is run by vendors so meet lots of new people.

Cons

High risk with 4+ layoffs in less than 2 years. Group that led the UW improvements are all gone now. Company places high value on developers and lower value on insurance expertise, look at pay in job postings. Poor transparency into future plans. Continual degradation of benefits and low likelihood for any bonus payout, equity options have been locked for nearly a year with poor communication so don’t count on those.
