Courier outside of principle market

Pros

My compensation was reasonable, especially when compared to local market for delivery services. The managers really earned my respect and did a good job dealing with a difficult situation.

Cons

My employment depended on one contract with a single enormous company that has little respect for subcontractors and a unpleasant corporate culture. Job ended when the company terminated the contract.

Pros

It's a simple job with regular pay. Never have to bring work home.

Cons

There are no benefits. The pay is too low to live off of in New York City
