Pros

Working as a messenger you don't have to be stuck in the office and you make your own schedule. You also get to see something different and learn something new traveling around NYC on a bike. Also the benefit of exercise

Cons

Work is up and down. On days when there's inclement weather the money is better and on nice days it's slow. Also the amount of work you receive is subject to whether the dispatcher likes you or not.
