Pros

If you actually like social work, making a rough time a little better for people in the shelter is morally rewarding

Cons

They don't protect their employees from violent/perverted residents, but will fire you for protecting yourself. They choose upper management based on who they like & not whose qualified. They don't pay for lunch break but expect you to be a "team-player" & work on your break, or else you get written up for insubordination. They expect the most from the people they pay the least.

Pros

You help the homeless people with other resources since BG employees don't like to help there clients schedule document drop off on there days off so they don't have to assist with the clients leaving front desk receptionist to come up with excuses for staff . Supervisors will turn on you and discuss your personal business infront of other staff. I've cried literally to upper management about mY mental health and how my supervisor was mistreating Me and got terminated for speaking up

Cons

They don't like Hispanic, black people . I've heard my own supervisor tell an employer they will not find another job because there an immigrant. Ive seen my supervisor tell upper management about a employer who was Muslim who need to pray throughout the day privately lied on her and said she was using that time to make personal calls. When I know it was a lie . Supervisor would sit in the break room watching staff and reporting them to upper management. I've witnessed him stand by bathroom listening to employer in the rest room he's done it to me I reported it and asked them to review the cameras they said he's always misunderstood defending his misbehavior.
