      Pros

      Breakthru Beverage VA has solid benefits packages, opportunities for advancement, and all of the employees are fantastic people to be around.

      Cons

      Salaries and commission rates are likely typical for the distribution industry but being such a massive organization could be better and it shows in the turnover rate of sales employees. As with most retail companies and distributors all holidays except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day are full work days (the other 3 holidays you are required to work a weekend if the holiday lands during the week. Vacation and time off is average with most companies but because holidays are required work days vacation time does not seem adequate.

      I really liked most of the people and it was well run.

      Cons

      Some of the higher up leadership were a bit full of themselves and acted like they were better than everyone else.

      Pros

      I have been with Breakthru a very short time after a 6 year absence from the alcoholic beverage industry. Its nice to be back and with such a great company. We are growing by leaps and bounds. We have great, impassioned leaders and represent amazing brands. The merger we are going thru can be scary, but it will be worth the ride.

      Cons

      We are growing by leaps and bounds, which means things move quickly and sometimes its too quickly and we need to stop and think about changes before they are implemented better.
