Good Pay, Good Crew, Good Beer

- Pay was great for a bar, always living wage and recently was increased to match it. - The crew were lovely people. - I was lucky with management but i have heard horror stories in other bars. - Protection of employees from discrimination (especially recently) is important. - Always overtime available.

Cons

- Recent drama revealing what the CEOs are like. - Wouldn’t trust the unicorn fund promise. - Hours: it’s bar work so obviously later hours than other jobs. In addition, you can work a close and then an open the next morning which isn’t enjoyable. Again, that’s just hospitality.

Pros

Colleagues and managers are mostly all nice and supportive. There is not a lot of rules regarding your personal style while working which is great and if you are into beer its a good place to learn and get to meet people that love beer and personally meet breweries and taste new beer. You will get beer for free and some discounts.

Cons

All of your social apps will be connected with the company apps, as well as, the company has at least 5 more apps that you need to be on top of it daily, it can be exhausting. Tiresome hours, specially when the staff calls in sick all the time. Work squedules are always published at the last minute which is annoying. If you don't love beer it can be a bit frustrating, since all progress is dependent on your interest for beer and not your performance. Managers where constantly asking work questions and the multiple chats and to cover staff on your actual day off, it really triggered my anxiety and I felt like I had no life outside work because of the crazy hours and constant communication even off hours.
