Bridgestone is a tire manufacturing and retail automotive services company. The majority of their revenue comes from these channels. The best place to be working internally is on a team that serves an essential role to one of these two core components of the business. Recent attempts to build and scale digital products and services have been fraught, unsuccessful, and at this point have been largely dismantled. These facts don't necessarily belong in "Cons." Any company big or small can get out over their skis and take a hefty tumble. Bridgestone made a ton of bets during a period of cash-on-hand euphoria (COVID) and then operated as if that set of circumstances would continue on into the future. The debts came due over the past 18 months along with a significant portion of bad-luck in core product markets.
