Pros

I worked here as both a Registered Behavior Technician and an Administrative Assistant/Scheduling Specialist. I love the kids. It is so fulfilling watching the kids progress in their treatment. I also enjoyed most of my clinicians there. They were very kind to me. They were also excellent clinicians to the kiddos there.

Cons

Working as an RBT for children is hard! You will have very good days, and very bad days. UTBS will assign you to very difficult children. It feels like you are thrown into the thick of it. UTBS also does not give the same care they give their clients to their staff. You will not have a lunch break, and are expected to eat with the children. They also have a coaching system (which is essentially just a fancy system for giving each other feedback). Feedback is necessary in any job. But it makes people feel like if they mess up, they are the worst employees in the world. They also tend to play favorites. If one staff has an issue for being late but they're friends with the directors, they won't get coached. However, if anyone is late, they will be coached almost immediately. However, even with the amount of coaching done, they hardly fire people (which is a pro?). At the Lehi company, there was an instance of sexual harassment. Instead of being fired, the director's of Lehi waited for him to quit. The only reason why they listed this individual as illegible for rehire is because he did not give two weeks notice. Also if you plan on having children while working at UTBS, don't. They do not offer a maternity leave. In fact, they make you pay back your insurance deductibles since you're not hitting your minimum hours.
