Pros

Brighthouse hands down has the best work culture I have ever experienced. They fully live their values of being collaborative, adaptable, and passionate. There’s constantly initiatives going on for employee wellbeing, education, learning and development, diversity & inclusion, anything you can think of. They do an annual employee survey and are extremely transparent about the results which are always strong. They never hesitate to call out the opportunity areas they have and put clear plans behind them to improve. The people here are genuinely such a family and care so much about each other. Everyone is intelligent, hard working, and passionate about ensuring the company is doing what’s best for clients. Management is fantastic and just genuinely want what’s best for their teams. Eric is a great CEO who is open, transparent, and always puts the employees and customers first. We work hard here to make an impact, but there’s a great sense of work life balance that is fully encouraged from the top down. I will always brag about working here and be the first to encourage friends to come here.

Cons

It can sometimes be difficult to move quickly and be agile with a variety of teams working on projects and having their own processes.

Pros

High pay and they are willing to pull in young individuals to leadership positions (director/AVP) if they demonstrate potential. The CEO is fantastic.

Cons

The senior leadership team (SLT/C-level individuals) are mostly ex-MetLife, and promote people based on their personal preferences or people’s tenure at MetLife. The culture is pretty rough (especially between technology, operations, and distribution/marketing), as they want to crank out new products like crazy but don’t have the right processes in place to do so. They brought in a lot of good talent across different business areas, but don’t know how to leverage them or provide career paths for them.
