Pros

- Decent Pay (some people get thrown cash like crazy) - Stock Options (RSUs - they give them to you in lump sums and they generate a lot of cash)

Cons

- They could care less about the employee. No benefits provided to assist with employee wellness. - When Broadcom acquired VMware it was told by Hock Tan (i.e., CEO) that we do not need all the special treatment. Every type of thing to make the job unique was removed from them. - Broadcom pushes out projects by a certain date even when things have been proven to be hard broken. Unfortunately, a child could push the "production" button without vetting anything. This is how they roll. Not a surprise these projects cause extreme anxiety across multiple teams and departments when it occurs. - Acquisitions are treated with the above mentality and approach. They say acquisition procedures have improved and it concerns me how far off they are in managing their company. - The CEO makes it very apparent that Broadcom is not a remote company although the Enterprise Security Group has a few remote positions. - Regardless of acquisitions, you can get laid off or fired without warning. They'll drop you as soon as you stop performing. - CEO should be less involved and use the resources he has. Let other people grow and make decisions. These CONs are true even if we were not part of an acquisition. I'd avoid this company if you want a long-lasting career.
