Pros

Amazing company to work for, employees are well taken care of, environment and people are nice. Profitable company (Being acquired by Avago Tech for $37 Billion). After the merger it will become the 3rd largest semiconductor company in the world. I think this company will do great even in the future.

Cons

1. Like any really good company people hardly leave so then less room to grow for other people. 2. Since its being acquired by Avago, there is fear of change in the awesome culture it has. Time will tell.

Pros

The health insurance is good and the Irvine campus is nice.

Cons

The IT department is a very low caliber one, most of the real work is done by contractors "managed" from Irvine. In reality, nobody knows nothing and just hopes that the contractors know their stuff. The funny part is that the full time employees always try to look busy and going to 7 meetings a day just filling their hours. If you really want to learn something or do actual work, maybe you should look elsewhere. I guess with Avago things will look even worse.

Buried in busy work, no work life balance

Pros

Very bright and talented employees. Executives are big on communication to employees. HR seeks regular feedback from team members. Compensation package is very competitive.

Cons

Workload in some groups is extremely heavy, and can be bogged down in administrative tasks. Sporadic lay-offs and dropped product lines, have left some employees feeling insecure.
