Pros

1: Stable, large company 2: Above-average total compensation. 3: Company doing good in all business lines. 4: Good office facilities, location, and cafe. 5: Good travel benefits if your job involves travel.

Cons

1: Be prepared to work like a dog with long hours and weekends. 2: Work on 2-3 projects simultaneously. 3: As is common to all semi industry, lots of work are tedious and purely "mechanic", not very intellectual. 4: Compensation & benefits are decreasing fast year by year. It was good a few years ago, but now it is only about average, and is still dropping every year. 5: High peer pressure, and mean, "blood-suckingr" boss. 6: Stay away from any customer-facing role. The company is very humble to the customers.

Not the best

Pros

Exciting field. Lot of smart people. Nice location and facilities.

Cons

Extremely political and hierarchical. Plenty of internal drama and backstabbing. Work load is ridiculously heavy and treatment of employees is way below par. New employees are "hazed" and set up to fail in order to prove themselves. Organization is really top-heavy. Everybody is a director of something it seems. HR doesn't care about you as a person unless there is a possibility BRCM may get sued.
