      Mad house - avoid Brocade at all cost

      Pros

      Good salary, I got lured to come here from a IP competitor. The bump in salary was around $20K, who would refuse this. God only knows how much I regret this move.

      Cons

      I am working on the Foundry side of the house. It is absolute mad house, you have the old foundry style management - screaming in meetings, ask for slides at 8:00 PM for the next day 9:00 AM.

      Good SAN technology, potential for new market opportunities Company evolving to be direct end user focused (very slowly) Small enough to be dynamic and make decisions quickly (limited politics)

      Cons

      Senior management do not recognise new world Not enough investment in sales management training, no management program Slow inability to evolve quick enough to IP networking market (product features lacking, no unique sales initiatives, lack local product marketing)

      Great pay, but limited growth

      Pros

      EXCELLENT compensation and bonus program. Very competitive Benefits and generous PTO accrual for employees.

      Cons

      Very clickish. Liked to hire overqualified people who hit the ground running. Afterwards, boredom set in as growth was a bit limited.
