Pros

Facilities, Gym, Cafeteria. They pay on the higher side of the salary scale.

Cons

Cost cutting. Management is doing everything in their power to cut costs and push out expenses. Revenue is not growing so to get a higher EPS every purchase across the entire company over $10k requires the COO's approval.

Pros

I was fortunate to be hired by a trustful director. I was well coached and learnt well about the organization. A year later, the director moved on and left his organization to be back filled by a senior manager.who was aggressive, impatient and not trusting his team members. The company offers good benefits.

Cons

People are important, They can bring out success, productivity and motivation or demotivation and take down your morale. For most of our roles in our group (>12 people), there are no exceptions to work remotely even though we supported the field people who are based away from all over the US and Canada. It is certainly odd for a networking company not to have a fair practice for telecommuting. It all depended on the organization and department. Many people worked very hard and dedicated but they were not well recognized..

Pros

During my tenure of my career at Brocade, I found that the company is very employee friendly. During recessions, while other companies were doing pay cuts and layoffs in 2008-2009, Brocade gave bonuses as long as it could, and instead of paycut, did something called MUTO - Mandatory Unpaid Time Out (like 5 days of unpaid vacation that was like a win-win situation for both employees and company). It also encourages a lot of physical exercise for the health of the employees, provides a fantastic gym with several free trainer packages, etc. Is a go-green company, and also has philanthropy in mind, and helps out a lot of causes. Also provides 5 days of voluntary leave for the employees to do some volunteering activity. Ofcourse, all this was under the leadership of the CTO at that time, who was Michael Klayko. I wonder if the situation still remained the same after the change of leadership to Lloyd Carney

Cons

One and only Con - Politics, both inter and intra group politics
