There seems to be a disconnect from upper management to the department managers and directors at times. You will hear rumors of big changes long before anything is officially announced. Then after the announcement you have no time to prep for the major change they are implementing.
Upper management always has giant grand plans and will hint at them but never let the company's employees know until it's being sprung on them
Training in my department was non-existing when I started. We were basically thrown at the job and told to read manuals/guides/old cases and learn as we go. Good thing we have an environment the fosters collaboration or most people would sink, not swim here
