Pros
Can’t think of any pros - genuinely stay away if they try to hire you for a role within Brook Street, I imagine being a temp is okay
Cons
- paper payslips, despite the temps being given online ones - poor pay up until a few years ago it wasn’t much different than minimum wage, the bonus was pitiful - high turnover, I saw a review saying they haemorrhage staff this is more true than you can believe - worked to the bone (it’s not uncommon for people to receive emails from others in the company as early as 6am or as late as 9pm) - they installed a ‘protected hour’ meant to champion mental health, it is literally your legally allowed lunch break - don’t hire enough staff on the public sector side as they view it as a waste of money, even though they know people are working massive amounts of unpaid overtime (this was mentioned in a all employee meeting by one of the directors who thanked everyone for their unpaid overtime, then said next year we’re going to get more done, with no word on recruitment drives - no company culture - invited all the managers to a two night stay at a hotel for a big meeting with free drinks, nice for them, nothing for the actual workers who bring in the money - entitled managers who bully people, and when you mention it to your manager, and the higher ups, they say “that’s just what they like” -little to no career progression, it’s either a sideways step, or step down -the same few managers are the ones getting constantly promoted
