      Pros

      The postdoc and associate salaries are pretty competitive, there are a lot of things to do on site, some good research goes on here especially with the NSLS & you're not very far from NYC

      Cons

      The surrounding area is very expensive for what it is.... basically regular US suburbia except way more expensive than most. Also the lab has relatively poor safety ratings, which isn't really a problem for the average worker but results in some management reshuffles.
