Pros

-overtime available -store discount I guess -may get lucky with coworkers. or not -clerks handle register so you can be a lazy tech (they know they’re severely underpaying you so they don’t care as long as you show up)

Cons

-very low pay -absolutely no training besides what your coworkers choose to grace upon you. Just hope that they’re not mean old Karen techs. -I worked overtime pretty much the entire pandemic just to be able to make ends meet, be prepared to starve if you have kids -overworked, underpaid -no opportunity for advancement -racist -homophobic -peak Covid, pharmacy managers were complaining of staff shortage and VP of pharmacy said that it was their problem— starting pay is barely $12. That’s less than CVS. Walmart pays $16 -also peak Covid, stores were losing employees to bigger chains so they raised starting pay of grocery store employees from $8 to $12. Pharmacy did not get this raise. -They give gift cards instead of raises/bonuses -They love to talk about diversity and inclusion, that’s it—just talk. The company is painfully bland. -corporate will sit around like a chicken without its head while pharmacists and techs work themselves to death (literally) either by neglecting appointments or falling asleep at the wheel. -if you travel and file mileage and reimbursement, keep documentation because they WILL withhold wages and change terms of reimbursement -don’t expect to actually be able to care for patients. They’re not patients. Just customers. Numbers.
