Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, but we are disappointed to hear that it was a negative one. Culture is everything here at Brooksource which is why we strive to create a welcoming environment where all our employees feel empowered to be the best. This includes the creation of our employee-led connection groups, joined together based on common backgrounds, identities, or interests to provide a safe space for conversation and development. We also have quarterly DEI Workshops led by our Director of Diversity & Alumni Engagement, to educate our employees about the different organizations and initiatives we are working with to further our development in the areas of DEI. As of 2020, we are proud to announce that our consultants have a diversity of 52.6% along gender lines and 52.7% racial diversity. One’s work is never done when it comes to DEI but to say we have a culture that does not welcome all, regardless of background, would not be accurate.

Pros

You get some experience in a high stress environment.

Cons

Company thrives on college drinking culture which is why they choose to only higher people out of college who were in fraternities or sororities. There’s no diversity at all. You are sold a dream and management basically makes you tell potential employees that you love your job. Once you’re not “drinking the kool-aid you’re on your way out. In the Charlotte market we had 4 people get fired and 6 people quit within a 8 month period. Either you’re new or you’ve been with the company 7+ years. No in-between. I promise you can make more money in a less stressful environment working on full placement roles rather than contract.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are extremely disappointed to hear that you experienced an unsettling incident within our work environment. Would you please email us at success@eightelevengroup.com so that we can learn more about this situation? This is not the type of behavior that we want our employees to participate in or feel pressured to do so.

Pros

You'll learn a lot about sales here You're encouraged to take clients out & give them a good experience

Cons

- Unlivable base salary (Can't stress this enough. If you have student loans or pay car insurance, you will not be able to live within your means) - Passive aggressive & authoritarian leadership, feels like you're in a bad relationship - Commission percentages are no longer competitive (slashed) - Micromanagement - Can't speak transparently without running the risk of termination - Weekly surveys that you have to lie to because you can't say you had a tough week ^^ - Favoritism - Leadership will pick who calls on the 10-year top-producing account and who calls on 2 ice-cold accounts in the middle of a recession. If you're not a favorite, expect the latter! - Full of gossip and bad mouthing behind people's backs, office culture is fine on the outside but toxic & cliqued on the inside - Brooksource tries to compete with big-4 integrators but is by no means set up to do so. - some coworkers look at you funny when you don't hang out with coworkers on weekends (can't have your own friends I guess) - When you take over a warm account you're stuck managing all of the past contractors, can be 1 to 100, doesn't matter though because you'll never be compensated for supporting them even if it takes 40 hours a week - If this is your first job after college, you only find out how problematic Brooksource is when you finally quit. They make it seem like everything is so much worse when it's quite the opposite

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. All leadership positions are hired from within which means that our leadership has personal experience in the positions that they oversee. Usually, this opens the door for thoughtful leadership and mentoring, but the scenario you have described does NOT align with the culture we want to create. We are deeply disappointed to hear that you had such a negative experience at Brooksource. Would you be willing to contact us at success@eightelevengroup.com so that we can learn more, as we are always striving to better ourselves?
