Vicousness is not professional

Pros

I took a drastic pay cut to come to Brown Jordan yet felt that it was a pivotal time to really make positive changes for an organization going through growing pains and reorganization efforts. The CMO, graphics team, and brand managers were talented individuals and collaboration with the team was great. There was much potential.

Cons

Female management were vicious. As a female stepping in, I was only there two weeks before one director level told me to delete 12 pages of a Deck I had worked on before I presented to the VP and team, then when the VP was unhappy, the director threw me under the bus. Simultaneously, I let the VP know the new campaign they had spent 50-100k on, may have an issue as a similar company had utilized the same campaign wording and similar design. I alerted her to this and was terminated the following day. I did not argue against it as this is not the type of company I want to work at. Leadership needs to lead by example and not trample all over their people. As a woman we struggle to move up in the corporate world, it is really not professional to lash out at other women competitively and viciously, blaming your mistakes on them. The culture there is tense with a "walking on eggshells" feeling.

Pros

Was excited to join a company that had/has such potential. The CMO seemed very receptive and bright. Really liked the team of talented, hard working individuals.

Cons

Management is Ego driven. Lacks EQ and accountability.
