Caution - Navico Group

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Brunswick seems ok, this is about issues with the Navico Group.

Cons

A caution for anyone joining the Navico Group (still barely 18 months old). It's not a great example of how to integrate several acquisitions. Poorly conceived and executed. Poor leadership and decision-making. Very US-centric ('Europe is a country' mindset). It is not apparent if the senior leadership team (or line management) has much experience tackling a portfolio of around 20 brands. The company structure is questionable, with a lack of robust processes. Numerous examples of the wrong people (and skill sets) being forced into roles. Aggravated by some weak choices for leadership roles. When a company is going through change like Navico, you need strong leaders at all levels.
