Team lead or any operator

Pros

Benefits package. (401k, good medical, dental, vision, etc.)

Cons

Upper management lacks communication. Unpredictable work schedule. Very high turnover rate for temps. They bring in temps who can't calculate basic math or read measurements, and sadly some who can't even write. Three vp's in the past 3 years. No work life balance, along with dishonest work schedule. No room for improvement. Upper management's idea of managing only consists of threats, yelling, and nothing but disrespect to all operators. Morale is awful, no one is happy. The stress is unreal, all operators are stretched thin to compensate for all the backfills they can't seem to hire. By the way supervisors (right above team leads) are a joke. The ONLY duties that supervisors do that team leads do not is the kronos (which is just call-ins) and staffing meetings (which do no good because they obviously aren't bringing in new people). Other than those two items, team leads have the same duties plus a TON more, and get paid A LOT less.

Pros

Hard work can be seen in the positive results. At Brunswick, the company rewards it employees accordingly and empowers them. We are encouraged to set goals for ourselves, or group goals which allow us a sense of empowerment.

Cons

Working in corporations requires approvals. permission from management and bureaucracy, when it comes to implementing programs outside the scope of pre planned budgets. These creates delays and possible to miss out on opportunities.
