Pros

Friendly environment, good food and employee discount.

Cons

Some of management was unorganized and unprofessional. The individual does not work for the organization any more. If mistakes are made there is a lot more finger pointing than problem solving. At the renovated centers there is no marketing creativity. The system they use now for sales is also more cut throat than usual.

Pros

Top management is ethical, fair and intelligent. Profit sharing and bonus plans are nice. Products and business are interesting and exciting. Good sense of family in the trenches. Compared to the general population of companies out there, this is a good place to work.

Cons

Healthcare coverage deteriorating in recent years. Policy of forcing employees to share personal medical data or face oppressive insurance premiums is borderline draconian. Local leadership tends to micromanage a little. This can limit creativity and undermines morale to a certain degree. Opportunities to advance can be limited due to the fact that local upper management does not post openings but rather hand-picks people from a short list of known past acquaintances. None of this is done nefariously. It's just a management philosophy. There are good people in these positions. It's just my opinion that inclusive management works better. The nature of this business makes it highly sensitive to economic fluctuations. The company produces mostly non-essential, luxury items. Sales suffer greatly during recessionary times. There have been layoffs in the past. The company has admirably responded to economic challenges and may be sized now to avoid this kind of thing in the future. It's just something to consider.

Very process driven. Very risk averse. Difficult to engage in creative problem solving. Too many meetings. Payscale is not competitive. Location.
