I worked there for exactly a year. Management is very strict and rude to cashiers specifically. For a short amount of time I was a full-time employee, and they had me working 1-2 weeks in a row with no days off. I as a cashier had to work in deli, as the mascot, and putting away items for warehouse and gift department. The break you get (no matter how long your shift is) is 20 minutes. Which no matter what they tell you, it starts when you call your break at your register. Not to mention you have to call on the radio for the whole store your lane number and say “restroom” whenever you leave for that. Team leads are extremely strict especially about money and counting it either too fast or too slow. The manager Donald, scolded me for calling out in the office (even though I had doctor’s notes for all of them) and suggested I put in my two weeks and come back when I “take care of” my health. The reason I had to call out was for a chronic condition I cannot simply fix. I ended up quitting the day after that, because I didn’t feel like being belittled any longer than I already had.

Management is draconian, constantly watches you—creating a toxic environment and encouraging a culture of people who report on others. Favoritism runs rampant. Certain people are untouchable, a minor infraction from others will result in termination, going against the three strike policy. No sitting, no lunch break, no break.
