Pros

Large company with the warmth and personal touch of a small company! Potential for growth and advancement within the company is unsurpassed. Management supports, assists and encourages employees to achieve goals. Courses are offered through Builders University at no charge to the employee and incentive bonuses are given for successful course completion. BMIC offers generous health and wellness benefits, 401K, annual bonuses, competitive salaries, casual days, and early release on Fridays. We work hard but also play hard with foosball tournaments, onsite yoga, softball team, cycling team, ice cream trucks, food trucks, and so much more. BMIC and their employees enjoy giving back with fund raisers, blood drives and other charitable events. I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing family we call BMIC!

Pros

I began the summer internship in May and it's scheduled as a 12-week program. So far I've been able to experience many aspects of the Insurance Industry. I've attended a presentation given by the claims department, shadowed the risk management department, attended a lecture given by the Underwriting VP and have scheduled activities with HR. So far I've really enjoyed learning about these different business functions that I haven't been taught in class. I've also been given a project that will last the duration of Summer and have learned a lot from my mentor. This project has involved incorporating new technology and has given me a lot of independence. If you don't like micro management and enjoy seeing your work pay off, this is the place for you!

Cons

There are no problems thus far.
