Pros

the fast-paced nature of the business is engaging and keeps the workday dynamic. This environment is well-suited for those who thrive in active and energetic settings. Additionally, there is opportunity to develop customer service skills. Interacting with a diverse range of customers helps in learning how to manage different situations effectively and enhances one's ability to communicate and resolve issues. Working in such a fast-paced environment also cultivates teamwork skills. The necessity for coordination and cooperation among crew members to manage daily tasks efficiently is a valuable learning experience. Lastly, the flexible scheduling. It offers the ability to balance work with other personal or academic commitments.

Cons

There is a notable absence of formal training for new hires, leading to confusion during downtime and inconsistent onboarding experiences, as training often falls to more experienced team members and at times other new hires. The workplace also lacks diversity, and there have been instances where employees felt uncomfortable due to perceived racially insensitive attitudes, undermining a respectful and inclusive environment. Additionally, the practices surrounding managerial hiring are concerning. Public advertisements suggest external candidates are considered for management roles, yet there seems to be a strong internal promotion policy. This contradicts assurances made during my interview, where I was led to believe that opportunities for advancement to management or team lead positions were available even for new hires. In practice, however, as a regular crew member, I found these opportunities to be non-existent. No training or guidance towards promotion was provided, and my shifts were frequently cut short, further diminishing any prospects for advancement. Overall, while there is potential for improvement in staff treatment by management and team leads, the current state of affairs could benefit significantly from more equitable and transparent practices.

Pros

You get to meet great people

Cons

It is drilled into your head that you have to get customers out of the drive thru as quickly as possible, while most of your coworkers stand there watching. Your manager is standing at the counter talking with her husband instead of actually doing her job.

Pros

• While it truly depends on your managers, there IS a work - life balance compared to much more laborious jobs/careers. • Easy to transfer between stores

Cons

• Most employees are not being paid on the same rate, which causes A LOT of slacking off • Most employees that have bad work ethics don't face repercussions and the workload is pushed onto other individuals • Most stores I've worked in have awful sanitation and cleaning ethics, cleaning is almost never practiced.
