I was fortunate enough to start under their 1st round of the Management Trainee Program. That means I was one of the 3G kids with a good solid plan if I gave up my life to better the company.At first, fresh from college, I drank the kool-aid and gave my all to this company.
I was promoted and moved up-- at the expense of others who had been there for years and just laid off. We were supposed to do more with less, the importance of face-time was always there, nights past 9pm in the office weren't uncommon. I got a stress induced illness when I was there...weekends and nights were consumed with emails and nervously planning out how I was going to tackle the next day. Forget about having a family, a significant other, or even time for yourself or friends while you're there. A position here literally consumes you.
Thankfully I left and found an environment where they valued work-life balance. I never realized how important that was and how much more happy I feel in my life with the ability to put attention to myself.
Yes, the business is doing well, but it's based out of instilling fear on people, overworking them and having no regards to the company employees (i still have a stapler I took from a lady's desk when she got laid off- everyone raided her desk for supplies, part of the sad culture there) When you look at the amount of hours you actually work- you'll realize that if your salary was broken down by hourly rate, you'll only be making minimum wage.
PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid accepting a position here. You can get paid the same somewhere else where they will actually value you. If you have a family, do it for them.
