Nice people overall. Community involvement opportunities.

Cons

Sink or swim. Work overload and they aren't willing to genuinely help you. Seemed like a great place during the hiring/interview process but things were different once in the door.

Pros

Prove yourself and you will find opportunities for growth you wouldn't have received at another company. They'll assist you in continuing education (within certain fields)

Cons

Sometimes upper-management is a little distant, but that's expected to a certain degree. The average salary does fall below other banks in the area, although the work environment and benefits help even things out.

Pros

Front line retail staff are wonderful to work with. The further up you go in management, the worse it is.

Cons

Unrealistic sales goals. Busey says it is not about sales but the customers and their needs. Definitely not true. You are hounded and stressed to the breaking point to review peoples accounts and get everything you can from them. No matter how hard you try, if you do not make the sales goals, you are wrote up and eventually fired and then replaced with someone else for an extremely low paying, high stress, job. New people hired in at higher rates than current, loyal, hardworking employees. Not worth the stress.
