      Pros

      The internal teams are nice and competent in their work, making everyone's job smoother when clients are extremely inefficient. That being said, the clients/brands themselves that you work with are very cool. The BDG sites are also really interesting to work on and they encourage you to bring your best work. Most team members are considerate and are solution oriented, trying to make your time as efficient as possible. The company itself is growing exponentially with multiple site acquisitions and the intention to go public, which is a cool opportunity to be a part of. Bosses are willing to offer a helping hand if you ask and you won't be left out to dry. They are understanding if you need some free time or a break to avoid burnout as long as you tell them. You are there to succeed in the work at hand, and your bosses and teammates will get you there. Paid well, great benefits, unlimited PTO (can be perceived as good or bad), fair work/life balance most days. It's also good on your resume and can lead you to great opportunities after BDG.

      Cons

      There are cliques galore - if you don't fit in or get on a personal level with your boss/higher ups, you feel like an outsider. There is also favoritism, specifically for people who come from the publisher Meredith. There's also a bunch of fakeness and "professional speak" in conversations internally as if you're being talked down to - it's not honest or supportive. We see right through it as insincere. Constantly feel "less than" when compared to other people on my team based on the interactions my boss and other higher ups. I feel like another client to my higher ups, not a person. Also, the investment in my growth has dwindled, fast. This has led to a lack of motivation or desire to do the best work. Advocating for yourself and wanting to improve can fall on deaf ears or be taken as a personal attack on their process, unless you're in the clique. You also don't feel comfortable sharing your thoughts because you will be told no (but in professional speak).
