A good experience

Pros

Loved the flexibility of working from home. I really liked my editor, and I got to write about a wide range of topics. The supervisors seemed receptive to feedback, and though the pay wasn't HIGH, I did feel like the management was supportive of its writers.

Cons

There really didn't seem to be any way to move up in the organization (without living in New York, at least). Working from home can be fairly isolating (although that has to do more with working remotely than with Bustle itself).

Struggling Company

Pros

My commute was really great.

Cons

The company struggles to land lucrative clients because work is subpar compared to the larger pubs that deliver more innovative campaigns. Clients are consistently underwhelmed with the work and it impacts the morale of the team. There is a palpable lack of experience and decency at the leadership level of this company. They bungle promotions, company meetings, layoffs and strategic decisions.
