Pros

I feel like the management team really cares about its employees and actively tries to make a difference. Having worked at other media companies before this, that's rare. It's been an overall enjoyable place to work and even though there are issues, I can see change happening in areas we need it (better work life balance, diversity, listening to employees, better training.)

Cons

We need better training for managers. There are negative aspects of startup culture that have stuck around.

Pros

semi-decent location, basic snacks. making friends, Unlimited paid vacation.

Cons

Management switches out faster than you can blink, The ripple effect is large, disappointing and people get stepped on. Work environment can be very toxic and create clicks Little to no room for growth HR is an absolute joke Serious lack of diversity. Hierarchy is blatantly obvious. ‘Mean Girl’ environment Creativity falls to the wayside of the obsession with click bait content.

Pros

Office location and snacks are okay.

Cons

Started at the bottom and we're all still here. This place is ran by a dude who thinks it's okay to talk about his dating life with female employees. Management is a complete mess trying desperately to become profitable in an ever-changing media landscape. Why do we keep buying new sites when layoffs are always looming? If your'e a POC run away as fast as you can. Picture the women at the top in custom "white feminist" leather jackets chilling at The Wing and chatting about trendy ear piercings. We are all trying desperately to GET OUT.
